Montjuïc Castle

Montjuïc Castle is one of Barcelona's historical and cultural attractions, located atop Montjuïc Hill. The castle offers breathtaking views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea. Originally built in the 17th century, it served as a military fortress and played a key role in the Reapers' War for the defense of the city.

One of the most infamous events associated with the castle is the execution of Lluís Companys, the President of Catalonia. In recent years, Montjuïc Castle has transitioned from a military stronghold to a museum and cultural center, making it one of Barcelona’s top tourist destinations.
